It's fun to kill stuff. Especially if you come up with a fun build instead of following the cookie cutter stuff out there. Dropping a bell into a huge pile of trash mobs and watching them all evaporate will never get old. --- http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/7919/snailjet.gif
I never got the whole D3 isn't grim enough thing. Bodies strewn about all over the place, enemies having ridiculously violent deaths. It's not a cheery game. Also D2 used SPRITES. It's not Dead Space but it's also not Animal Crossing. --- http://i.imgur.com/SvKtL.gif http://i.imgur.com/Zz86U.jpg http://i.imgur.com/SJ6mu.jpg http://chzgifs.files.wordpress.com/2010/09/happyandmad.gif
You realize most of your examples are from like the first 2-3 months of D3 right.....
No, my examples are from current-day. There are dupes on the AH as of this moment. Blizzard admitted it yesterday. Same thing goes for the rest of them, including "Kripparian's Whirlwind Barbarian" build, often shortened to WW Barb. --- Ryyaann is banned. http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/VanillaRice-1752/hero/337193
Another thing that really irritated me on 3 is the fact that there is no skill tree and that every character is the same basically and the only way to actually be good is to have the same stats (crit dam, crit chance, primary, vit, res all, attack speed)
I honestly think this is a consequence of modern gaming and the internet (or connectivity in general). Any time you have a bunch of options, someone's going to find "the best" and post about it in a public forum - thus making cookie-cutter builds or item sets. And locking you into a build like D2 did wouldn't change anything, people would just look up the build prior to beginning play and never even ty the other abilities or items.
I hear Kripp makes cookie cutter builds for all of the PoE noobs.
I find that hard to believe. Only super intelligent, min/maxing, theorycrafting, hardcore gamers play PoE so there would be no need for Kripp to make cookie cutter builds for them. --- Peter Sullivan: Why are you always smiling? After you realise that the only way to get better gear when you reach lvl 60 is to do painful and repetetive farming for hours and hours on end you pretty much get tired of the game. --- "Huh?" / GWBush
