Difference between Nintendo Selects: Mario Power Tennis & New Play Control?

#1Supa_SPosted 5/28/2012 9:26:43 AM
Mario Power Tennis was released as part of the New Play Control. Is the Nintendo Selects release just a re-release of the NPC?

Same game and controls, but $20 instead of $50.

Sorry to bump an old topic, but I had the same question. Are we absolutely certain that this version won't have better controls? I really want to get this game, but the complaints about poor motion recognition have put me off.

I thought about purchasing this game awhile back hoping it was like Wii Sports Tennis with Mario characters....unfortunately, it apparently just uses waggle in place of buttons.

New Play Control Mario Power Tennis was never $50! It was like $30. And I don't know why nintendo would re-release it. Any other game would have done.

Maybe Nintendo is trying to distance themselves from the NPC brand name.
