the punches are too slow and the parrying system sucks. also, the one punch haymakers into knockout mode(whatever theyre called idk) are too easy to pull off and take a lot from the game

I find it hard to do the flash KO, especially against friends. But I like it. I also think the bigger fighters punch slower, compared to the smaller weightclasses which makes sense.

weightclass to weightclass yea the punch speed is right, but parrying is terrible among other things. and certain punch types are way too slow

I think the parrying is fine. It may not be realistic, but it gives you a reward for doing it right. It gives you time to hit a big haymaker or combo. If they had it as a millisecond block, it'd be no different than a regular block and wouldn't have as good an effect or be as strategic.

But I agree that some of the styles have slow punches. But at the same time, they are more powerful. But...nobody punches that slow in real life. I think they were just trying to make the advantages and disadvantages more significant, to make each boxer or style more unique. If you want a guy with a lot of power, you have to sacrifice not throwing the shots as quick as the other guys. They could have made it better overall, but I like the idea they had and it still turned out alright.

yea im not saying it turned out bad. but i box, so little details bother me. parrying still takes way too long though. i can parry and have time to think about what i want to do, theres nowhere near that much time. if anything, a boxer on the offensive usually has another punch coming already or in his mind so if the first one gets parried both people expect more. you'd have to try really hard to find somebody get that screwed up by getting a punch tapped away

i guess what im trying to say is that overall the games great, some things are just too exaggerated. the ideas they played with in the game are awesome and i wish we could get a round 4 to see a more polished version of things

That, I can agree with. FNR3 was great. But they can do a lot to improve it. More boxers, for one. And a lot more options for creating your own boxer. FN 2004 had more CAB options than Rd 3, which isn't right. You could make your own entrance in that game, which would be awesome to do again.

And they should revamp the career mode. I made a topic a long time ago..they should have you own your own place. When you're starting out it can be an apartment above the gym, and you can go down to the gym to do any of the 3 workouts (plus more minigames ti improve your guy). As you get more famous and make more money, you can get new places. In your crib, they could have your awards/belts and promotion posters from your big fights, along with other games. And eventually you can have your own gym in your place. And they could gave Replays that you saved from previous fights, that you can relive by watching on your tv at the crib.
