Just trying to create some stupid thread. :) Mine are, Outrun 2SP Outrun 2 Outrun Outrunner Turbo Outrun - Least favorite Outrun game, this is the only Outrun game that I score lower then a 9. I give it a 7, if it wasn't for the music, it would've probably been a 6 or lower. | |

OutRun2 is number one. I'm not as thrilled about SP as much as the other members on this board. I LOVE OutRunners, though. There's just something about that game... :) Those two are enough for me. :) --- We're meeting G over there... Thanks, G! | |
There were maybe 6 or 7 original OutRun games, so it's not a big pool to choose from: 1. OutRun 2006: Coast to Coast 2. OutRun 2 3. OutRun 4. OutRunners 5. Turbo OutRun Coast to Coast has more tracks, duh, the Model 3 courses don't help the original that much anyway. I really didn't get the chance to play the latter 2, I played OutRun on Mame. OutRunners looks cool and I like the car selection, but the music seems awfully subdued. Like I'd rather listen to the OutRun versions, which is why I put it above 4 and 5. Turbo OutRun I think will most be remembered for its soundtrack. can see many people picking Outrun 2 over SP casue it was released first, but what makes it better in your opinion?? There's no slipstream in Outrun 2, no 15 course mode, no custom soundtrack etc.. It's slower then SP, also you get to play Outrun 2 with slipstream, 15 course mode and custom soundtrack in SP. :) Because I absolutely HATE what AM2 did with the crashing in SP. You touch a car's rear and you slow down a tremendous amount. That's my big gripe. Now, this could mean that I just need more practice, but it downright pisses me off when that happens. I also didn't like the new courses anywhere near as much as I liked the originals. Slipstream is a plus. 15 course mode is fun. Custom soundtrack is okay, but now we're talking about OutRun2006, not SP (I should also mention that the custom soundtrack does not work properly on my copy of 2006, though I was told it may be my drive from a few people...) Shiggs the 3RD MiX posted... The new courses are just as nice, if not better in my opinion. Outrun 2006: Coast 2 Coast is Outrun 2SP, I know the home version included a few more dumb features but it's basically the same game. Custom Soundtrack is the only cool feature that is not included in the arcade version, and custom soundtrack comes with only the XBOX version. If you're having problems with the custom soundtarck, you either have a bad copy or a bad harddrive. So, in other words, more is better. :) | |
I just want to add, all the Outrun 2 courses is also in Outrun 2SP aka Outrun 2006: Coast 2 Coast. :) |
