Mercenaries 2: World in Flames

Ok. So I did what everyone suggested and downloaded the Army of 2: 2 demo and connected to the EA servers but I still can't get Mercs 2 to work online. My friend has the same problem so its not my XBOX or disc. If anyone knows how to connect online: please give me a detail walkthrough on how you did it. Thank you all!
