The Last Remnant for PS3 is still listed on the official Square Enix website...

I think I was one of the few that actually enjoyed the Last Remnant on the Xbox. Maybe it has something to do with going with low expectations, but I really got addicted to the game and to its side missions.

If journalists would bring the subject of TLR up more often, maybe SE would have to fess up about the game.

you mean like the billions of times Versus is brought up and still is simply ignored?

Totally agree.

It's almost certainly just coded in that if the listed date is older than the current date, it rolls over to the next ambiguous date.

Sounds like Square actually took their own advice and 'forgot about it for a while'.

They have left TLR on the website deliberately.

They also announced a TPS called Gun Loco at GamesCom in August 2010 and then cancelled it in March 2011. When they cancelled it, they removed the listing off the website. However, with TLR, the listing is still there and continually moved moved to each following year like FF Versus XIII. I think TLR will be released for PS3. Either that, or both it and FF Versus XIII are canned and they are misleading people to think they both still release.

It looks like both TLR for PS3 and Versus XIII are listed on Amazon.co.jp with "Tentative Name" next to them.

FF Versus XIII:

The Last Remnant PS3:

As I said before, it looks like TLR for PS3 is still coming out but will have major changes/improvements over the 360/PC version. It may even be a sequel but include the original game on a separate Blue-ray Disc. Personally, I'm optimistic that TLR will come out for PS3. If it doesn't get released then neither will FF Versus XIII.

I should also add that people originally thought that Amazon.co.jp only added "Tentative Name" next to FF Versus XIII and that it may indicate that FF Versus XIII may be renamed FFXV. However, the fact that The Last Remnant on PS3 also has "Tentative Name" next to it means that FF Versus XIII will not become FFXV.

I'm optimistic that TLR on PS3 is still alive and will be revealed soon. Maybe in Q4 2013 or sometime in 2014.

it has a tentative name because it's obvious that it's vaporware at this point and may never be released.

Also, Square would shoot their own legs away, if they would release the game with the "13"-stigma.

Wonder why they never released it for ps3 anyways. Versus I can understand cause its not a real game, but I wonder what happened to the ps3 version of this game.

Oh well. I played a bit of it early on but didn't get to far. Don't think i'd play it anytime soon regardless of system. Don't think its a bad game though. SE needs more new IP's like that imo

I'll eat a sock if VersusXIII is actually a mind blowing game.

I'm not sure if you guys know who Nicole Scherzinger is but she was one of the Pussycat Dolls back in the mid 2000s. She was planning on releasing a solo album titled "Her Name is Nicole" Even a few singles were released. The album was scrapped. A few years later she released her proper debut solo album "Killer Love" However, Amazon still let's you PRE ORDER the scrapped album.

Moral of all that. Even its up on frickin Amazon doesn't mean squat.

I would have loved it if it wasn't plagued by the absolutely horrendous technical issues and if they gave us more options in combat.

I also wish that they put in some Visual Works CGI into the game. I was actually surprised that they didn't include any. The game was gorgeous regardless.

I'd love a highly enhanced re-release of TLR on the PS3 but I don't see it happening.
