So I've been curious. Why is this called VERSUS XIII?

I don't understand. What are they versus against?

Versus in Latin means “to turn around” and in English it means “against”. Both translations are the main keywords for this game.

It's supposed to be "opposing" FFXIII with its themes and whatnot.

So when is this coming out :/

I'm just really behind at the moment. I'm basically still living in the 2011 time period for this game.

The game is anti-XIII.

Versus - "against"

FF "against" XIII

Just by the name itself, looks like it has a chance. Of course, we might have to wait till the tricentennial before it is released, but it'll be worth it ;)

That "against XIII" thing may not necessarily be true. I think it means more that it's the reality versus fantasy theme, along with maybe Versus what Final Fantasy in general can/could/should be. Basically, challenging the series as a whole by pushing the boundaries. Which ironically is what the series is about anyway.

But in Versus's case, we haven't really seen an FF that merges reality with fantasy, FF VII is the closest it has come to that kinda thing.

Also, it's supposed to be a counterpart to FF XIII, another XIII pretty much. So the name can mean a lot of things actually. But can anyone tell me what Type-0 means? I liked Agito better...

Type-0 means they may have ALL TYPE-0 BLOOD.
