Final Fantasy Versus XIII

Been a long time Since FF had good OST in them.

I liked the majority of the game's soundtrack.

Also Type-0 has a very good OST. Bravely Default, if you consider it a FF game, has a great OST too.


Dang it! Your post (awesome as it is) has reminded me of how bad I want a Wild Arms 6! Which sucks because I know it's not going to happen.


Me too :( WA6 for PS4 and the WA5 composers returning would be amazing.

I'll just remind everyone of Wada's Fortune Teller, Pao, who is the reason why they don't have Uematsu on Square any longer.

Indeed FFXIII OST is great, best since IX. Also, Uematsu did some good stuff with XIV, battle themes and Limsa Lominsa theme.

This got me thinking, apparently Tri-Ace is helping SE in future FF projects so lets hope mighty Motoi Sakuraba does some tracks for them! Would be delicious.

Sakuraba is a freelancer so he works on whatever he wants. If SE wanted him for FF they would've already gotten him.

Fingers crossed that with Yoko Shimomura composing for this one we'll see some good stuff on display.


I already loved Somnus. I'm fine with her composing the whole thing. Never disappointed me before.

X-2 and XII soundtracks were meh, but I'd say XIII and XIII-2 were great, XIII-2 being my favourite OST of all time (and I'm not exaggerating, it's just my taste)

I'd suggest giving Bravely Default: Flying Fairy's OST a shot -- It's the closest you can get to the older FFs and it pretty much is a Final Fantasy in everything but name.

Dragon Quest>Ys>SMT>Tales>Final Fantasy, but I enjoy all five.
