This poll is now closed.
This is something new that I've kind of wanted to do for a while. Here we put each villain on an equal basis and compare them. The topic is called "Random Encounter" because I use a generator in deciding who goes against who. This is a poll as well as an open discussion.

Alright, so yesterday Dysley and Kefka happen to face off. Dysley happen to want Kefka to destroy Orphan to which Kefka gladly obliged. Not knowing the true extent of Kefka's power Dysley was easily ravaged when exposed to Kefka's "Light of Judgment", resulting in a 41-to-17 point lead and the complete obliteration of Cocoon, as well as a third of Pulse entirely. Kefka will laugh himself to the next round along with Gabranth, Jergan, Seymour and Exdeath.

These polls are now closed but if you wish to visit the previous topics it is below:

Now then...

Today's combatants:
-------------------------------

Weiss the Immaculate ( Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII ) vs Seifer (Final Fantasy VI)

Weiss: is a member of the Tsviets and the primary antagonist of Dirge of Cerberus -Final Fantasy VII-. A mysterious SOLDIER who commands Deepground, Weiss declared a hunt on the world three years after the Meteor crisis. He received the title of emperor, as he is the strongest Tsviet, as well as the first member. All Deepground soldiers fear his power and follow him; however, it is said that they rarely see him directly. He is the elder brother of Nero the Sable, and they are very close to each other.

Seifer: Seifer Almasy is a temporary playable character and one of the main antagonists in Final Fantasy VIII. He is the rival of the main character Squall Leonhart and is the mirror image of him in many ways. Like Squall he wields a gunblade. Being a rejected SeeD candidate, Seifer is dedicated to being a Sorceress Knight and serves as commander of the Galbadians under Edea.

A couple of categories:

Who has the better appearance?

Who has the better personality?

Who was more of a threat? (game play and story wise)

Who would win in a fight?

Who is better developed?

Also so the mods don't get on my jock for not having a XV related topic... so here's a fun question. Give a name to the couple of areas you see in the kingdom.

Hmmm... honestly speaking, we're talking about two bad examples of FF villains. Weiss' defining moments are colored either by Nero wincest or Hojo brainjack, and Seifer's essentially the quirky miniboss that gets swatted away before facing the actual boss. Between two bad villains, I'd have to give it to Seifer, though, because "chicken-wuss", and he cut Odin in half.

There are two kinds of Final Fantasy Fans: Those who liked one game and wish all the other games in the series were exact copies of it, and those who don't.

Best appearance: Seifer. His white trenchcoat and severe haircut is badass. Weiss looks like he's wearing pyjamas and his hair is ridiculous.

Best Personality: Seifer is the only one who has one.....

More of a threat: I found both of them easy, but Weiss has a fight that you can't win so I guess he wins by default. Story wise Weiss is supposed to be some kind of elite supersoldier while Seifer is never a credible threat (although he does pwn Odin which is cool).

Who would win in a fight: Weiss has BS hax anime powers. I think he'd win.

Better developed: Seifer. He has a legit character arc and connections to the two main characters. You know why he is the way he is and you know why he ends up an antagonist. Do we ever find out anything meaningful about Weiss? He appeared out of nowhere very near the end of DoC and he's just another "I'm going to save everyone by destroying everything" bore.

Seifer takes it easily.

Selfishness is not living as one wishes to live, it is asking others to live as one wishes to live..

I actually agree with you. These two are very weak when it comes to actually being intimidating. Their inclusion in the story is really pathetic too might I add. But as you said I'll take Seifer over Weiss personally, unfortunately I don't vote in my own threads.

Yeah I'm pretty sick of those kinds of villains. Heck I didn't like it when Seymour did it so I wonder what influenced them that time around?
