Name a RPG trope or plot device you never want to see again

As the subject suggests... I am sick and tired of the use of the plot device/trope where one or more main characters have their journey kickstarted by the bad guy and/or bad guy's army burning down or destroying their village/town/city/community while the main character is away. Often leading to the main characters vowing revenge and whatnot.

What plot devices or tropes do you guys absolutely hate, or what underused ones do you love and would like to see more of? I'm curious because I can't seem to get excited for new RPGS because they seem so played out and lacking fresh material.

By now, I hate most of them. But what I really don't want to see is another "Necron" type of final boss. Just no.

I really don't want a loli in this game. So far, so good.

Edit: I know there's gonna be a young Stella at some point in the game, but if she's portrayed well and isn't too annoying, I'm okay with it.

Mega Man is my hero.
"You want the truth?" "Why not?" "I'm Stella's sugar daddy." - Final Fantasy XV's plot.

I'm not sick of the generic method to get the main char into the story, but it could be better.

How about... all is fine and dandy and the main char accidentally stumbles upon something or discovery (not a conspiracy though). something like that... i'm not good at making stories :P

Enlarging the plot by making characters hide information from each other leading to misunderstandings. I remember Tales of Symphonia being very guilty of this.

I'm the leading man. You know what they say about the leading man? He never dies.

I dont think there are really any tropes that I hate on principle. I only dislike them when they are abused or poorly executed. ie I dont mind having a cheery/bubbly young girl in the party as long as she is a well written character and it makes sense for her to be there.

If I had to pick one off the top my head I'd say the villain that wants to "save" the world by destroying it, but once again, if it is well done, I dont really care.

Childhood friends

I really dislike it when characters are childhood friends than become lovers. It irks me.
