To be fair to Micaiah, how many FE lords aren't boring? Ike, despite his cool design and great stats and growth, has such a bland, generic personality, if you could say he has a personality at all. "I fight for my friends". Yeah, you and every other Japanese protagonist, Ike. Something about Japanese fiction in general dictates that protagonists must be really plain, stock heroes. They fight for their friends, their friends are what make them so strong, they are honest to a fault, they may be dumb, but they are always wise, etc. If the series involves fighting, they must have the most boring, straight forward fighting style, such as Eliwood's sword fighting and balanced, but never exceptional stats, Ichigo from Bleach with his plain Katana and his yawn-inducing Bankai, Naruto, who's fights always hinge on how big of an explosion he can create(though his use of clones are kind of cool). This is why the most interesting characters in any Japanese series is usually a supporting character. Micaiah and Ike were bland in comparison to characters like Skrimir, Naesala, and Shinon. Just like Eliwood was lame next to Hector, Sain, and the rest of the colorful cast of FE 7. Just like Goku was boring when you had badasses like Vegeta and Piccolo. It's hard to care about bland protagonists like Ichigo, when you have crazy SOBs like Kenpachi, and guys that fight with giant bone dragons like Renji. Therefore, the only thing we should struggle to understand is not why anyone hates Micaiah, but why anyone likes Ike. --- "...that is until Lyn opens her legs and unleashes the Kraken from the briney depths to impregnate him."- MutsumiiyNaru

That's not the same as calling her perfect, any more than people calling Ike a hero means they're calling him perfect. Goddess? No? OK I guess you didn't play the game then... Please, tell me what chapter they refer to Micaiah as a goddess? They refer to Yune as a goddess, but she's pretty clearly a seperate entity. And in fact, one of the major themes of FE10 is that goddesses aren't perfect, because Yune and Ashera make mistakes. I wonder if you have played this game. --- Devil: DEBATING VIDEO GAMES IS NOT AN ISSUE THAT ADMITS SHADES OF GREY THINGS ARE EITHER TOTALLY AWESOME OR INCREDIBLY TERRIBLE

I'd say it's pretty obvious that the game isn't calling micaiah perfect. Sure, some of the soldiers in her army are, but by no means would I say that "micaiah is perfect" is the message you're supposed to get from that. --- So what happens after FE10? So virtually every decision being made by her meeting no resistance save for 1 or 4 people at a time isn't trying to show she's perfect... Well ok then, if that's how you view story-telling, I won't stop you. Next time reality leaves a message, just delete the call, you wouldn't be interested. --- Interested in a RP with witches and murderous people with a heavy dose of medieval fantasy? http://serenesforest.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=26004&st=0
