The Sims 2: Pets

Nope it is not like the Sims 2. Basically it is like this.

They removed some of the stuff to put in stuff for the Pets. Socials are not all the same. Careers are not all alike. There are no children, it is a 1 player game. No story mode and is all free play.

They do not have much for the Romantic socials, no woo hoo / play in bed for the Sim people. No one dies, they just pass out and need to be revived.

There are only cats and dogs to create or buy, outside of the fish bowl. They are the one that can have 1 puppy or 1 kitten at a time when your Sim gives the command to Offspring.


There is still the garden boxes and they added more aquariums [ you need to buy all of them to get the food resources since they all contain different items. So buy one of each so you can get them all. ]

The burglar is a lot faster and in order to get them caught, your Sim has to have a body skill of 10 to be able to beat them up till the cops show up. Otherwise you will lose the item.

Jealousy is set very high and if you get caught cheating. The relationship drops to zero and below. There is no love/ crush / heart status in the menu's relationship. No aliens, but there is a celebrity, Hillary Duff and her dog makes an appearance at Town Square and your lot from time to time.

No cars to drive, you go to work in different vehicles, this is depending on the career you chose. They have jeeps, ambulances etc that take you to work.

There is a Town Square that you can go to where you can buy food items and stores that sell pet items. You use Pet points that you can buy at the ATM at Town Square.

So basically it is different. They left the aspirations the same. They have fears and wants. Grant the aspirational wants of the Pets and the Sims to unlock things. Recipes are not locked and are the same as the Sims 2.

There are No goals really to do, just play it as you like. You do not even have to save the game. You can play all houses or just one. The Newbies house is the Tutorial house, Bob and Betty Newbie are in this Sim Game and once you get the hang of it. It will revert to free play at their house and their name will display.

There is also a Realtors office that displays all lots. You enter a lot that way or just by clicking on a lot.

Cheat gnome is enter during game play and you do not have to pause it.
