Why is my Strength and Endurance down?

#1LoBoKhan03Posted 9/2/2008 8:59:34 AM
I've only been playing Oblivion for about a month. I'm on my second run through, I aborted my first one at level 21. I'm now level 25, redguard, barbarian.

My strength and endurance are both 100, but when I go to my stats screen they're red and are listed as 97 each. I have checked my current affects page and nothing is effecting either strength or endurance.

I'm a Listener in the Dark Brotherhood, Grand Champion in the Arena, Pickpocket in the Thieves Guild, and entry level (forget the name) in the Fighters Guild.

When I advance in levels I cannot add to strength or endurance because they are both listed as 100.

Any ideas why this is happening?

You were probably hit with a Damage Attribute effect. Just drink/cast a Restore ____ potion/spell and it should fix it. Also, if your fame is higher than your infamy and you don't have a bounty then you can pray at a chapel to have them restored as well.

I checked the effects tab, but I'll try that and see if it fixes it.

If your Attributes are damaged it won't show in the active effects section. You can simply enough pray or cast a spell that restore your chosen attribute or drink a potion that does the same. If you are lucky you can even find and eat an ingredient that restores one of your attributes.

Praying at the shrine worked. I didn't think that would be it because there was nothing listed in the effects page. Thanks guys.

The Attributes do never restore themselves.

Re-read Chrazy's post. He explains why you didn't see anything in the Effects page.

If they were Damaged then no. If they were Drained then yes.
