I really like going double upgrade labs early while constantly resupplying marines and only making 1 armory at base with shotguns researched.
Extra resources during upgrades go to phase tech but it will come alot later then usual, make one other armory too and get mines/welders if possible but never miss a weapon/armor upgrade when its ready.
I find this build really helps marines secure the map better, only problem is watching for skulk rushes and having marines that play well together and the limiting factor of late phase and late second base.
