GCD- Pure Sorcerer - Group tactics

I'm playing a pure sorcerer, using Galsiah's Character Development and PirateLord's Creatures X.

I've hit level 16 and I am having trouble with large groups of enemies that are clustered around doors. Levitate doesn't get me out of the way quickly enough and my summons die pretty fast (flame atronarch and greater bonewalker). My strategy has been to hold people at bay and pepper them with absorb health or elemental damage, but now I'm running into some tough monsters with reflect and it's taking me out.

Thanks to Galsiah's my mana pool is deep, but my health is sitting sadly in the double digits. What would you recommend for taking on these groups? Custom silence spell? Custom levitate?
