I've seen quite a few topics asking where do I find certain materials. So I decided to compile a list. None of these places I really found myself. I've just collected information from other topics. So thank the users on GFAQS ^_^ Also, this isn't the list to end all list. These are just some locations that I found useful. I'm sure there are plenty of more places where you can farm efficiently for certain pins, I just haven't found them. So if you have a special place for a certain pin, contribute! I as well as other people love all the help we can get. So without further ado, let's move on! ======================= Section 1.2: Some Tips ======================= 1)The most important stat is going to be DEFENSE. You'll often want to drop your level to increase drop rates. With high enough Defense, you won't take any damage from attacks thus making hp a moot point. Easiest way to pump your defense early is to get good post game equips such as "Shades Phones" or "Pi-Face's Jacket". Just keep in mind that you'll need a high Brave in order to wear said equips. And for references, your base stats do cap in this game. Level Cap:100 Attack Cap:100 Defense Cap:100 HP Cap:9999 (At Max Level) Brave Cap:999 Drop Cap:1000 (I think. I forgot now actually >_>) 2)Should be obvious by now, but it deserves to be pointed out. When an enemy dies, they drop a pin that floats to your character. The color and size of pin goes according to what kind of drop you got. For instance you may be fighting on Ultimate Mode, but you'll get a Hard Mode Drop. Here's the list. Tiny Copper:Easy Drop Small Blue:Normal Drop Medium Yellow:Hard Drop Big Red:Ultimate Drop Not really that useful to know, but it can be nice to keep it in the back of your head. PLEASE DON'T POST UNTIL YOU SEE MY SIG
======================= Section 2.1: Some Items ======================= (2.a) Ultimate Mode (Required!) Location:Real Life Solutions (Shibu-Q Heads 3F) Requirements: Orichalcum x2, Rare Metal x6, Tekitite x4 Analysis: Higher difficultly levels will get better drops or higher drop percentages. Some materials can only be gotten though Ultimate mode. DOES NOT REQUIRE SCARLETITE! (2.b) Chain 16 (Recommended) Location:Real Life Solutions (Shibu-Q Heads 2F) Requirements:Scarletite x1, Rare Metal x3, Tekite x1 Analysis: Higher chains will produce better drop percentages. Useful in some cases, but not necessary. (2.c) Hollow Leg (Recommended) Location:Real Life Solutions (Shibu-Q Heads 1F) Requirements:Scarletite x3 Analysis:If you're farming for materials, might as well power level your stats too. Useful for fighting more difficult enemies on Ultimate mode, but not necessary. (2.d) Fusion Stickers (Recommended) Location:??? Requirements:Scarletite x2, ??? Analysis:Useful for fights on Ultimate. Particularly for Joshua when you farm Dark Matter. More on that later. I'd post the location for the stickers, but I'm too lazy. So unless anyone really wants to know, I'm keepin it on ??? for now. The requirements for each sticker is a bit different, but I know it requires at least 1 or 2 Scarletite. ======================= Section 3.1: Format ======================= "Item" Noise:Name and Number for Noise Story:What Week and What Day Location:Which Area in Shibuya Default Drop:Drop % Without Drop Modifier Analysis:Personal Thoughts on Why You Should Farm Here
=========================== Section 3.2: Material Drops =========================== (3.a) 1 Yen Noise:Bigbansprog (No. 10) Story:Week 1, Day 4 Location: Scramble Crossing and 104 Building Difficulty:Easy Default Drop: 1.00% Analysis:They consistently show up in the Small Red Noise. Pretty easy farm as these guys always show up in groups of 8. Drop your level as much as possible when farming for 1 yen, as the battle should be easy enough. (3.b) 5 Yen Noise:Orchesprog (No. 11) Story:Week 3, Day 3 Location: Scramble Crossing Difficulty:Easy Default Drop: 0.1% Analysis:They consistently show up in the Long Medium Red Noise. The battles themselves should be no problem, but the low drop rate makes it harder to farm faster. Having 16 chain helps here and it can drastically increase your drop rate and the battles are easy. (3.c) 10 Yen Noise:Bigbansprog (No. 10) Story:Week 1, Day 4 Location: Scramble Crossing and 104 Building Difficulty: Normal Default Drop:0.5% Analysis:They consistently show up in the Small Red Noise. Pretty easy farm as these guys always show up in groups of 8. Drop your level as much as possible when farming for 10 yen, as the battle should be easy enough. Also chain battles together as the drop rate if effectively cut in half. And yes, I did copy and paste. I'm lazy. (3.d) 10,000 Yen Noise:Southerfrog (No. 06) Story:Week 3, Day 7 Location: Anywhere in the Shibuya River Difficulty: Easy Default Drop:8.00% Analysis: These frogs show up in any noise encountered in the Shibuya River. They usually show up in two to three along with other various noises. Since the mode is easy, farming money should be pretty quick. Not much else to say here. (3.e) Rare Metal Noise:Brassbanfrog (No. 4) Story:Another Day Location:Station Underpass (Area Right Before Shibuya River) Difficulty: Easy Default Drop:30% Analysis:They consistently show up in the Small Red Noise. Always comes up in groups of 4 and has a rather high drop rate. Should be able to consistently farm 4 rare metals per battle. On a side note, you'll sometimes run into Funkfrogs (No. 3) but the chances are pretty rare. (3.f) Tektite Noise:Brassbanfrog (No. 4) Story:Another Day Location:Station Underpass (Area Right Before Shibuya River) Difficulty: Normal Default Drop:15% Analysis:Same froggies once again.They consistently show up in the Small Red Noise. Always comes up in groups of 4 and has a rather high drop rate. Should be able to consistently farm 4 tektite per battle.On a side note, you'll sometimes run into Funkfrogs (No. 3) but the chances are pretty rare. Copypasta is my friend. (3.g) Orichalcum Noise:Brassbanfrog (No. 4) Story:Another Day Location:Station Underpass (Area Right Before Shibuya River) Difficulty: Hard, Ultimate Default Drop:5%,10% Analysis:I think you get the pattern now.It's convenient to farm for these materials in the same place. They consistently show up in the Small Red Noise. Always comes up in groups of 4.Important to note is that you fight on Ultimate Mode, the drop rate doubles. So if you can handle it, step it up a notch. On a side note, you'll sometimes run into Funkfrogs (No. 3) but the chances are pretty rare. Copypasta is still my friend.
(3.h) Adamantite Noise:Jelly Neocoustic (No.31) Story:Week 3, Day 3 Location:Scramble Crossing Difficulty:Ultimate Default Drop:10% Analysis:They show up in the Big Shark Mouth like Noise. Usually come in twos and there's a Melodi Corehog most of the time. Basically kill anything that's not a jelly fish and wait for them to multiply. There's a max unit cap of 8 and sometimes a Jelly Germanic will spawn. Those drop Orihalcum just for reference. (3.i) Shadow Matter Noise:Sho Minamimoto (No. 85) Story:Week 2, Day 7 Location:Shibuya Main Store Difficulty:Ultimate Default Drop:N/A Analysis:Sho is the Blue Boss Noise in the middle screen. Alright technically I'm lying, Sho doesn't drop Shadow Matter on Ultimate. He drops Fierce as the Flame. But what Sho does do is summon Taboo Noise. All of the noises Sho summons drops Shadow Matter on Ultimate. So basically the strategy is to beat the living hell out of every noise Sho summons without killing Sho. That way you can farm to 99 Shadow Matter relatively easy. Some things worth pointing out. -Enemies will stop dropping Shadow Matter Pins once you hit 99. So you can tell when you maxed out your inventory. -You are forced to use Joshua in this fight, so make sure his stats are as high as possible. You won't be able to pass the puck around very much so having high Atk and Defense is recommended. -The drop rate for Shadow Matter is really low so chain as many battles together as possible. But make sure you start off with Sho first. When you chain battle, the battles get progressively harder. You don't want to fight Sho at the end of a 16 Chain battle. (3.j) Dark Matter Noise:Reaper Beat (No. 80) Story:Week 1, Day 4 Location: 104 Building Difficulty:Ultimate Default Drop:0.5% Analysis:Beat is in the Blue Boss Noise on the top left corner. With such a low drop rate, you want to chain as many battles as you can. Although there's another purpose for chaining battles when you fight Beat. Since you're forced to use Joshua against Beat, try to get your Fusion level to Max before fighting Beat. Joshua's "Jesus Meteor" has a 99.99 damage multiplier from what I heard, so it's basically a One Hit KO against Beat. That's only if you're underleveled. If you're overleveled, bum rush Beat. Noise:Sho Minamimoto Taboo (No. 86) Story:Week 2, Day 2 Location: Tipsy Tose Hall Difficulty:Hard Default Drop:1.0% Analysis:Sho is in the Blue Boss Noise on the left side of the screen. Just another spot for farming dark matter. Some people prefer this method because you only have to be on hard and the default drop rate is double compared to No. 80. Also keep in mind that your partner will be Beat instead of Josh. So if you have a buff Beat you might prefer this method.It was also pointed out that the raven noise will drop Tekitite during this battle. Store:Real Life Solutions (Shibu-Q Heads 1F) Level: 4 (10,000 Yen Spent) Earliest Available:Week 2, Day 4 Trade In Materials: Shadow Matter x10 Analysis:Obvious, but important to note that you can trade 10 Shadow Matter in for one Dark Matter. Not a bad deal I think considering how easy it is to max out on Shadow Matter just by fighting Sho. Up to you to choose. (3.k) Scarletite Store:Real Life Solutions (Shibu-Q Heads 1F) Level:N/A Earliest Availabe:Another Day Trade In Materials: Tektite x5, Orichalcum x2, Dark Matter x1 Analysis:Only place to get Scarletite post game unless there are other quests to fulfill. No further analysis really needed.

Alrighty, done. I'll go see if I can get this sticky'd now. Btw sorry for leaving out a general materials section. I wouldn't really know where to start >_>;; --- Gametag:EcksD SSBB:4382-1703-2199
We really don't need a third sticky on the board. Why don't you just submit this as an in-depth FAQ? -_-;
Mmm, I don't really think it's In Depth FAQ worthy enough. Plus I like writing it on the board as it's easier to get general feedback. As for another sticky, there has been some interest in getting it stickied in the previous versions. So I tried to spruce it up enough to make it sticky worthy. This was before we got Quick Pin Evolving List sticky. Yeah 3 stickies could be overkill, but I don't think adding one more would really hurt the board. In fact the whole reason I wrote this FAQ up was to help the community. But that's just my two cents. Anyways thanks for looking out for me GipFace ^_^ --- Gametag:EcksD SSBB:4382-1703-2199
esp since the stickies do NOTHING to stem the flow of questions which are already answered >_> evolution(i mean seriously... i explained it in depth in the board faq, there's a quick list in another sticky AND the wiki has an extensive listing... WTF?)/fusion stickers/scarletite questions anyone? --- I lay claim to Shiki of TWEWY.. i shall rename her tweety bird now >_>
The funny thing is I think this is more deserving of being stickied then the pin evolution thing. Especially with the wiki to reference things, whereas this is more or less the sole compiled source of where to farm things. |
