Hello! Sorry for the silly phrasing in the topic title, but I'd like to share a bit of a story...
So recently, my sister's boyfriend found some of his old PS2 games. Odin Sphere was among them, though it's only the disc. I saw the Atlus logo on it and I was immediately intrigued, so here I am.
I'm not sure if he's lending or giving it to me, but seeing as how I don't really want to play any other games at the moment, I figured why not!
I read the back of the insert on the site and it looks like the graphics are praised a lot. Is that all that Odin Sphere has going for it? What about the musical score, the story, and the gameplay mechanics?
Thanks in advance and have a lovely day! :)

IMHO, the music for this game is also pretty amazing. The story, what I have gotten through (sadly haven't finished, got about halfway) is also quite good, and rewards actually spending some thought. As far as that goes, each character's story reveals more of what's going on, so there is that too...
The gameplay itself is quite good as well, as long as you don't aproach it like it is a hack-n-slash. That will just get you killed and frustrated. Finesse is your friend, as is the ability to recognize and learn attack patterns.
The other major mechanics, growing food, making potions, and using recipes at the Pooka Cafe, are also nicely developed. Taking the time to really understand them makes the game much more fun.
Bottom line? I'd say, if you have the opportunity to play it, you should do so. The only issue I really encountered is the INFAMOUS slowdown when fighting certain bosses and intense battles.
Hey, she's pretty lucky on having her boyfriend turned into a fairly cute bunny-thing. He could have been turned into a Japanese Tentacle Monster - Azadiel
