i bought this game and istalled and for some reason it gives meYYou are playing a non-final, unauthorized copy of The Sims 3.

Purchasing and registering an official copy of The Sims 3 will entitle you to benefits including access to an entirely new game town called Riverview, 1000 SimPoints which can be redeemed for game objects inThe Sims 3 Store, and access to The Sims 3 Exchange.

He's just another one that pirated it prior to release and then bought it on release day. I saw in a previous thread that you have to delete your sims save folder in My Documents and/or run CCleaner after uninstalling the pirated version in order to get a legit version to work.

The leaked versions Serial number is still in your registry. Clean it from your registry and the retail version shouldn't give you that message any more.

All ya have to do is uninstall the pirated ver.

Once you uninstall it, install the real ver

To uninstall, find the program icon under the control panel

Yep. Just uninstall. You don't need to mess with registries or anything. Just click the uninstall link in your start menu folder (or through control panel) and you're all set to install.

There's absolutely ZERO problem with installing TS3 if you were using a pirated version unless you were dense enough to leave the pirated version installed.

And.. honestly. Why the hell would you do that? Does it even remotely seem like a good idea? Come ON!
