He can use quite a few, IIRC. What'd you frequent? I'm torn between fists and one-handed swords(katanas).

I typically just use him to fill in the gaps.

My preferred team is Yukari-Aigis-Akihiko, so he typically frequents swords.

If I have a gap in a weapon type, though (For example, if I swap Akihiko for Mitsuru for a boss that has ice attacks) then I change it up as needed.

I generally have him with 2h Swords, Fists, or Spears.

I use spear cuz its easy to get an advantage or not being in disadvantage.
I usually use skills so the weapon type is not that important, sometimes.

Spear is my favorite weapon in just about any game so I use that, however I change it up for fist and sword once in a while.

Whichever weapon does the most damage.

Clubs and hammers and axes. Bash-type damage is surprisingly hard to come by.

It took me forever before I remembered that he can switch weapon types (I blame the time I spent in Persona 4, where it was much less relevant).

I still like 1H swords primarily. Although I switched to a bow for a while just because it was easier to tag a Treasure Hand that way (at first). I'm pretty sure that in my last playthrough, I used an axe or hammer at some point, but I forget why. Probably the damage.

i've preferred bows - it's really easy to get advantages with'em (OK their damage isn't always great and more chance to miss isn't fun; but by the middle & end of the game I'm usually using skills & spells anyway so the weapon damage itself isn't really useful; but how it helps you in the manner of tagging things).

i prefer the 1hand sword,the hit rate and damage is good, and bcoz i play the MC frequently using magic

One-handed swords! Near the end of the game I used Thanatos with 1hSwordMaster, pretty awesome.
