cyberboy15Posted 7/31/2012 2:52:55 PM | Do I need knowledge of the first two or are they unrelated?
And, I've heard the PSN version can almost be practically unplayable. Should I still get it? And if I do, what precautions should I take when dealing with it? --- "Trent Dilfer. He was never a Seattle Suckhawk"- ThePrinceFish |
_Izanagi_Posted 7/31/2012 4:42:38 PM (edited) | The Persona games are unrelated except for Persona 2, where you should play Innocent Sin before Eternal Punishment. So no, no knowledge needed for this game.
If you have a PS2, you should play it on that. If you don't, then I suppose the PSN version will do. Precautions you should take with it is having multiple saves on the system, and a few back-up saves on an external drive. The PSN version is notorious for deleting saves randomly. There is also some freezing sometimes and the game looks a little weird compared to the PS2 version, strange colors and stuff, but just watch out for the saves and it should be fine. --- "The Arcana is the means by which all is revealed." |
Scott_Stapp_Posted 7/31/2012 6:42:20 PM | I've only played the PSN version, so I can't compare. But it's definitely playable. You need to have back up saves or you're going to lose your progress (Seriously, put that s*** on a flash drive). One of the final areas has a lot of flickering, so don't get the PSN version if you're epileptic. Other than that, the game froze on me one time and there's one cutscene where it freezes for about 30 seconds before continuing. --- When my name was Kentai, my family would travel...down to western RI, where my name was Kentai. |
