Anyone see that the PC needs 30 GB for this game?

That is damn crazy. People all over the PC board are complaining tha tthe Age of Conan beta requires anywhere from 22 to 35 GB of hard drive space. If this is true, all those that don't own the Xbox Elite or 120GB hard drive are getting screwed over.

It's a beta, not the final game. Alot of old and useless data is downloaded with the beta.

It's because the beta doesnt replace older builds and info with newer ones. It just adds them up (or something like that).

I think it can be on a disk in final build also 360 version is relased near abt 6 months laterOrange box takes 15 GB on PC and gears take 12 Gb so do Assassin. But for sure this game will require HDD streaming atleast so save for 2-3Gb space on your HDD.

I just dont see how this game is going to work on the 360. As much as I would want to see a successfull mmo on our console. I cant see it working out.

Yeah, beat client has other things running in it extra and the build up of old data, it'll be cut down for the release version, and trimmed down even more on the 360. Most of the space the client takes up on a PC is on the disk you use to play the game on 360 anyways. As for controls, I hope by releasing the 360 version later, they don't screw up the PC controls. Like with FFXI, you could play it on the PC but when you plug in a usb controller, you could -actually- play the game. I imagine it will turn out something similar to that.. Especially with the new combat system where there's more than one action button for your weapons and hotkeys for your spells/combos. I can't wait to see how it unfolds.

Yeah I gotta uninstall oblivion (about 17gigs, yeah I modded the game like crazy) in order to play this one.

I'm tired of oblivion anyways.

If someone doesn't have that much harddrive space on their PC either they illegally downloaded too many movies or their computer probably doesn't meet the other requirements to run it well.

As others have said, we probably won't have to install the game directly to the 360 harddrive. The harddrive will probably just be used for update patchs. With that said however, it probably would still be wise to get the bigger harddrive.

Yea, that's just the beta. I see the original release of the game to 360 playing straight off the disk, then once they start adding post-release patches they will be downloaded to your hard-drive. I don't see AoC ever using anymore than 3gigs of space on your 360.

I currently have early access installed on my computer for Age of Conan, so it's basicly the full game at this point. The folder containing the files that were installed on my computer is pushing over 24gb in size. So unless you can fit over 24gb of data on an Xbox disc you're going to be looking at using up quite a bit of your hard drive space for this game.
