Paladin Agility?

#1superquester101Posted 3/22/2012 4:59:23 PM
Anybody know what a paladin's agility would be at level 99 with no other skill point trees added?
I switched my hero from a minstrel to a paladin, and noticed my paladin is slower than the whole party.. Not sure if its because hes at level 48 compared to lvl 99 priest and lvl 99 gladiator.
I want to know if a paladin is one of the slower classes...

Paladin gets 73 agility at level 99 with no other bonuses so it is one of the slower vocations. They have a lot of other things that make up for having a lack of agility though.

The Paladin is the very worst vocation for Agility, with only 73 Agility at level 99. (Closely followed by the Warrior with 78.)

Being level 48 puts them at roughly half of their Lv.99 stats too. (Without skills or equipment boosts.)

And if you think that's bad, you should see their Deftness (9)! The only single-digit stat at level 99, if you exclude zeroes in MP, MMight, and MMending.

With the worst Agility and Deftness in the game, graceful, they ain't. But then, it's not what they're there for.

Fortunately, the moves that matter most for Paladins (Whipping Boy, FORBEARANCE, and CDG Knight Watch) pre-empt all other actions in a turn.

This.

Seriously, this is pretty much a guaranteed speed-demon formula right here. My level 99 Paladin is faster than most grotto bosses, though I haven't tested against any high-level legacies yet.

I wonder what a Martial Artist with full Focus (and any other +AGI traits) and a Meteorite Bracer would end up looking like. I'm guessing, 600-700? (You know, I think a Lv99 Martial Artist with NO extra bonuses would still be faster than a fully-sped-up Paladin.)

I mean, I get what you're saying - you set your Paladin to be faster than the rest. But, he doesn't need to be, since those moves I mentioned go first no matter what, and so he has less use for Agility than most vocations. Better to have your main attackers, and especially your healer, able to move fast.

Unless you seed farm, your 99 Paladin is all but guaranteed to be slower than most MID-level legacies, let alone high level legacies.

They are SLOW.

And Duke: Martial Arist 99 has a base of 500 agility. Focus is +100 agility, and Thief, Ranger and Luminary contribute an additional +100. Last, a Meteorite Bracer is another +100 for a total of 800 agility.

A Paladin, given the bracer and skillsets, is 373. There is a CHANCE of the Paladin outspeeding the base Martial Artist with no bonuses, but it will not happen consistently.

Additionally, if I were putting an accessory on a Paladin, I'd probably want the Combat Action Medal for the +3% CDG.

And if you are going for Agility Alchemiracles, then you might want to use their best Agility boosting equipment to give your hero 880 Agility. ;)
