Bravery Faith Question

#1TyrantLowKeyPosted 7/13/2013 12:37:56 PM
Just wondering if I can max Bravery w/o losing any players or getting messages popping up?

Also when do Faith messages start to pop up and what's a good number for Faith and Bravery for all characters?

Third and this one is probably and easy yes and no, Ramza can have 99 or is 100 the cap for Faith and not have consequences from it?

This should answer your questions: http://www.gamefaqs.com/ps/197339-final-fantasy-tactics/faqs/15053

I'm sure there are no consequences from having Ramza capped. Pretty sure the cap is 99, but I'm not sure there.

Straight from the Sticky!!

Effects of Bravery:
-every 4 points you either raise/lower gets a permanent +1/-1.
-Bravery is the % chance that your Reaction ability will activate. Reactions that are always active (Reflexes and Parry) are exempt.
-Bravery affects three types of weapons: Knightswords, katana and bare hands; the higher your Bravery, the more damage you inflict.
-the only pro for low Bravery is it effects the chance of Treasure Hunter working, the lower the Bravery the higher the % of working.
-Bravery can be safely lowered to 10; after that the unit gets turned into a Chicken. Chickens regain one Bravery at the start of every action and always move as far from enemies as possible.
-Highest outside of battle is 97, you can raise it to 100 in battle if you want that extra damage with the mentioned weapons/Reaction.

Effects of Faith:
-every 4 points you either raise/lower gets a permanent +1/-1.
-effects your Magick Power; the higher the Faith the more damage your Magick will pack and the greater your success rates will be.
-effects how you are effected by Magick; the higher the Faith the more Magick effects you. The lower the Faith the less Magick effects you. This applies to BOTH positive and negative Magicks.
-Faith can be lowered to a minimum of 03, making your unit nearly immune to Magick. It can be raised to the max of 94 for any other units except for Ramza, he's super duper awesome ultra special so you can raise his to 97 without fear of leaving.(Which makes him an excellent mage candidate.) Faith higher than 94 will make the unit become a religious wussy and leave your Roster. Desertion Threats start at above 84.

Ways to alter Bravery and Faith:
Bravery
-Steel from Mettle, +5
-Shout from Mettle (self only), +10
-Praise from Speechcraft, +4
-Intimidate from Speechcraft, -20
-Trepidation from Mystic Arts, -30
-Chicken from Spellblade, -50
-Bravery Boost Reaction from Dancer, +3

Faith
-Preach from Speechcraft, +4
-Enlighten from Speechcraft, -20
-Belief from Mystic, Faith status
-Disbelief from Mystic, Athiest status
-Faith from Spellblade, Faith status
-Doubt from Spellblade, Athiest status
-Faith Boost Reaction from Bard, +3

Faith and Athiest status effects give you temporary Faith of 100 and 0, respectively. They will never affect your permanent value.

Misc. Notes:
-Speechcraft, Iaido, Sky Mantra and Geomancy ARE NOT effected by Faith. The first three skillsets are powered by MA, and Geomancy's formula uses both PA and MA.
-Nether Mantra and Fell Blades benefit from LOW Faith. In the case of Nether Mantra, Faith status gives the unit an effective Faith of 0 and Athiest gives an effective 100 Faith.

Also when do Faith messages start to pop up and what's a good number for Faith and Bravery for all characters?
Faith warning messages pop up at 85 but seriously there no trouble, just hit x and skip over it.
For Bravery its very simple, unless that character is a Treasure Hunter you should keep it at 97.
For Faith it depends, if they need Faith to deal damage it helps to have high Faith but remember that will also leave them more vulnerable to Faith based Magick. 3 Faith can make a unit practically invincible to Faith related Magick.

Third and this one is probably and easy yes and no, Ramza can have 99 or is 100 the cap for Faith and not have consequences from it?
Ramza's Faith can be safely raised to the max of 97.
