So i finished this, are the nintendo ones any good?

Although, if there is one thing that was stupid, it was having to learn skills by items.

Learning skills by item is great (see FFIX). The big problem is that AP is set per battle/mission so if you wanted to grind you can't. And almost all new recruits are completely blank slates, so it's a pain to have them catch up to your other units.

Same here. I did still love FFTA, though. Constantly casting heal on my own party so that my mage would be 10 levels higher than everyone was fun.

Really? It's way better than the way you learn skills in this game.
