nehukogPosted 1/11/2011 10:46:04 AM | I can't read french, but I got the gist of what this article is saying:
http://www.gamekyo.com/newsfr39298_aliens-colonial-marines-2012-minimum.html
Bascially what I understood is that at the earliest Aliens:CM will be a 2012 title, and that they are putting all focus on Duke nukem and borderlands 2 |
AzanodePosted 1/12/2011 3:08:08 PM | :( --- A game that is easy to pick up is easy to put down. |
overfiend187Posted 1/14/2011 6:32:50 AM | This is getting annoying. Sega suck. Gearbox suck. This franchise deserves better. If it really is taking this long to develop. At least the fans and followers who like me who have waited years for this game. Should get more information on its progress. Intsead of pointless announcments saying it hasn't been canned. For gods sake we are losing interest. Its been a joke for awhile. Now its just tragic!! |
ProfessorJivePosted 1/15/2011 1:28:09 PM | Good news though, that was just a rumor and it has been officially denied:
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-01-10-gearbox-denies-new-aliens-cm-delay --- "Its so funny, You keep the faith and they keep the money. Its so divine, You see a cross, they see a dollar sign." gamertag = professorjive26 |
WarlypwnagePosted 1/16/2011 8:44:43 AM | this is stupid. they should just release info on the game like every other game company does. why the secrecy? |
B0vrilPosted 1/18/2011 9:36:20 AM | @overfiend187:
Stop acting like a stubborn child. Game development takes TONS of man hours and constantly has slip ups. Would you have rather they release a rubbish alien game 2 years ago?
CLEARLY neither Sega nor Gearbox wanted to rush out a half ass game.
@Warlypwnage:
Stop being so silly and wake up!
Game companies release info to advertise their game. Every company has there own marketing schedule. They release info when they choose; when the game is ready and when the time is right.
Stop being so impatient. |
overfiend187Posted 1/19/2011 5:55:32 PM | @BOvril
I'm looking at my Ps2 box I bought the day of its release. Mmmm there's a game on it! Aliens colonial marines, when sega bought the rights and reanouced it. I was happy. They saved it. But there's only so many times I can complete alien trilogy. Wondering why sega have sat on it. Claiming there's not a demand for it. And repeatedly putting it on hold, go figure! |
B0vrilPosted 1/20/2011 3:00:20 PM | I imagine Sega simply want the right developers to do it justice. I don't understand why you think you know better. The PS2 incarnation of Colonial Marines was scrapped because it was utter rubbish.
Also I don't think I've seen Sega claim there's no demand for it.
I don't understand how some folks can get frustrated because a game wasn't completed. Games take a lot time and lots of care to be made into something even half decent. It's not like they have an amazing Aliens game locked away. |
Guirec730Posted 1/20/2011 6:21:49 PM | If you grow tired of Alien Trilogy, try Alien Resurrection on PS1. Pretty dated by today's standards, and you will have to really tweak the controls to find a good setting, but man...scary as hell. --- Tell them to send the next most dangerous. |
WarlypwnagePosted 1/23/2011 12:09:01 PM | they could give us more screenshots or some info on the game. instead they give us duke nukem forever, which no one cares about since like 1998. |
