FAQ for Island Events

#1blueyoshi3Posted 2/16/2009 8:29:27 PM
It's time there was a FAQ for the Island Events for this game. I'm trying to create one. I've got most of the island events where you have to make a decision and the consequences/rewards that follow recorded. However I do not have them all.
If you have experienced an island event and remember: 1. The name of the island event, 2. what option you chose, and 3. what happened afterwards, please post it.

I have no problem giving credit where credit is due.

Here are the island events . . .
The Strange Request:
Allow the request = -9,000 tech points.

Refuse the request= Villagers discover he's a stranger & capture him. Only thing he says is "What have you done to our gong?" Sadly he escapes during the night.

Drink Viscous Green Liquid = Feel strange. Doesn't quite feel like themselves. (looks & attitude change.)

In my game, I had an 11 year old blonde girl that disliked work. After drinking, she became an 11 year old auburn-haired girl that is never still.

The White Pearl
Keep it for himself = villager has a little skill in all areas.
Show it to the tribe = ?

- A bump on the head -

Coconut falls & hits villager on head, who then loses their memory.

Bonk them on the head again: Still can't remember name but acquires remarkable clarity in all things.

Let them rest: Don't recover memory but start a new life.

- Falling Star -

Villager sees a falling star. Choices: wish for self or for the village. (self - puts in good mood)

- Gnarly Wood -

A gnarled branch turns out to be a black wooden statuette. Will they be cursed by the carved idol? Destroy the idol or Make an offering of food. Villager destroyed it - becomes neurotic & fearful

Found this hint @ http://www.logler.com/tips_and_tricks/virtual_villagers_2_the_lost_children

Sue: When the villager finds a mirror & you have to choose a magic Word there are two. Pick the top one makes him old; the bottom word will clone him then you will have two of the same person.
