For Thief, i think the coolest fit is Human or Asura. I haven't decided which one my thief will be, but leaning toward Asura unless i can think of a better human name. I like to make up orignal, lore oriented names in MMOs and GW is my favorite, so i'm having a hard time thinking.

Asura probably get the coolest Thief armor, honestly..i wish i had a pic.

Storywise, the Charr have an entire legion dedicated to the thief archetype. Yeah, trust me. lol

Anyway I believe the Asura might also be good thieves. With their whole "smarts > muscle" idealism.

Thief doesn't fit in either, its about finesse.

If you play with street rat background, a human makes sense, but then again, humans will pretty much fill any roll.

A major Sylvari NPC is a thief, consider that.

The Ash Legion is all about stealth and sneak attacks, so a charr could work.

Those are the biggest ones, Norn and Asura really don't have anything going for them. In fact, the Asura's egotistical nature and the Norn's honor bound system actually makes being a thief of that race a little odd.

Egotistical means you can't be a Thief? As far as i know, most criminals are very egotistical.

I think FF4Fan means thieves are traditionally stealthy and don't want to be seen or caught...Asura brag about everything they do and bring attention to themselves.

true....but Asura also use brains instead of brawn to overcome enemies....thief is all about that

When I think Thief, I think a small nimble character, so the Norn doesn't seem too suited either! I know you can adjust the height when creating a character.

I guess it just depends on your taste. You can "roleplay" your character all you like, make up your own little bio. THIS GUY WAS NEVER LIKE THE OTHER NORNS, SO HE FLED THE VILLAGE AND JOINED A BAND OF ASSASSINS, LEARNED MANY THINGS. Etc etc.

^ It could be a sequel to How to Train Your Dragon.
