No solo dungeon. They are made for 5 players and they won't scale down if you go there with less than 5 players. If you go there alone, you're gonna die.

Oh goodie. Now how about an answer from someone that knows what the hell they're talking about.

Dungeons are being designed as group content. But for the sake of the story you will be able to enter dungeons and complete them on your own. Explorable mode dungeons on the other hand require a group.

Each dungeon has two modes: a story mode which focuses on the story of the Destiny's Edge group, and explorable mode, a more difficult mode which requires more co-ordination to play through. Each mode allows for groups of up to five players; content does not scale depending on the number of players in the party so the difficulty remains constant. The actions of the team influences what happens during a dungeon play-through. Dungeons are also influenced by dynamic events, creating unique experiences even if choosing the same path.

Sidekicking and player level scaling are performed for dungeons.[2]

Story mode is played through on the first visit to the dungeon. The dungeon stories, told through cut scenes and exposition, are focused on revealing and developing the Destiny's Edge situation. One or two members of Destiny's Edge join the party to guide them through a largely linear dungeon story. This mode should be relatively straightforward for a pick-up-group to complete.[3] Completing story mode unlocks explorable mode; the story mode can be repeated if desired though there is no particular reason to do so.[4] It should be noted that personal storylines and dungeon stories are parallel: the dungeon story mode does not affect a player's advancement in a personal story except for the very last mission which takes place in a dungeon.[5]

Dungeons have 2 modes-story & explorable. Most PUGs can do story mode well. Explorable is harder & needs a more organized group #GW2FanDay

There was also a post a year or two ago on Guru in which they more explicitly stated that dungeons, even in story mode, are not intended to be done alone, but I can't find that thread. I'm wondering if Guru purges old threads in the News forum since I've been having a hard time finding some other threads, too.

The entire world is your solo dungeon that's why there are over 1500 (?) Dynamic Events

I don't really like it when people spread misinformation. It happens way too much with this game. -_-'

I don't think you should have a go at someone for giving an answer that is closer to the truth than your answer...

Anyway, the answers provided by Witch Elf and Lizardneck is all that's needed for this topic.
