You don't benefit from this, again, no one does, it's not justice it's vengeance.

And all the civil charges were overturned, Fony, which includes the injunction. Criminal charges have difference consequences, more focused on the people involved, not the game itself.

The fact of the matter is they were found guilty of stealing NCSoft property for the sole purpose of making TERA. Without that code, there'd BE no TERA. If TERA is shut down, it's BHS's fault for violating the law.

Also, how much do you want to bet that NCSoft will appeal and win again?

The fact that Tera is an action MMO presents the possibility of cutting into Guild Wars 2 sales. So while NCsoft doesn't gain much from this they do stand to lose if they don't.

But that's ignoring the fact that BHS did indeed steal from NCsoft. You say this isn't justice? Then according to you justice is allowing BHS to get off free with their stolen material and market it for a higher price. And if BHS gets off with this it just opens the mentality for other studios that it's possible to get off with stolen material. That's justice as well?

Everyone benefits when crimes are prosecuted and criminals are not allowed to profit from their ill-gotten gains (except the criminals, of course).

It's kind of sad that someone replaces rule-of-law and the protection of private property with "I want more MMOs!"

Personally, I'm just wondering what's wrong with people who think NCSoft is evil because of this, even if their claims are justified.
