Why would they base their primary PvP mode(s) after Guild Wars least popular PvP

I'm talking of Alliance Battles, which are nearly dead.

We really do need GvG and Team/Random Arena where a team of 4 or so random combatants go head to head and just brawl it out. Why?

Because GvG fulfills a much more desirable structured PvP mode and TA/RA were popular because they were very fun and very quick. Very quick.

I used to play Skyrim but then I took a patch to the knee.

I'm pretty sure they'll add more modes eventually, if they're not included at launch that is.

I'm pretty sure they've said there won't be any factions based pvp like GW1.

Have you tried WvW? It's pretty awesome.

If someone buys a book, then sells that book to another. The publisher gets nothing. The used video game market should work the exact same way.

Because points ticking is apparently the best mode for e sports.

I think he meant how ABs and WvWvW are similar in the sense that its large scale capping battles.
