Question: what is the best way to make money

Crafting. That makes a decent amount and you can be any level. I have a level 6 character I use just for making items to sell. I had about 20 gold at level 30 just from crafting.

Check fine mat prices
Find one decently priced
Go to that area
Mass Murder mobs
Sell all drops to npc, don't extract
Sell gray drops.
Sell Fine Mats on TP
Profit
???

You can easily end up with several gold in a few hours that way, must people just look for something worth really high price or something really expensive to craft.

About 100 Gold has already went trough my hands, and I currently have 42G, because I brought gear for my 2 alts when they are 80, crafted gossamer bags for all my 3 characters.

People just expects some magical recipe to make money when it's so simple, ive never, ever had money problems in a game really.

Thanks for that bit of advice? but is this something a level 30 can do? or should I not worry until 80? I just want to buy my additional character slots.

Actually lower level fine craft materials have increased prices and higher level have lowered.

Howcome NCpwn isnt trolling or complaing about the game much and actually asking questions about the game? Has he only recently got his copy of GW2?

Anyway to answer the topic question, best way to make money is to spend money. Money makes money, check from time to time, mark down the prices. Spot the pattern. Then buy cheap and sell high.

But dont blame me if u mess up and go bankrupt. It takes skills.

Edit: And yes, 1 gold at round 30 sounds about right. I didnt do anything from level 1-80 but level. Didnt do any crafting or farming. Didnt sell crafting materials either, put everything into collections. And i got around 15 gold wen i got to 80 just from dynamic quests, hearts and story quest rewards.

Why you have ta be like that?

Maybe it is from getting my MMO chops from Everquest (where they had no teleports and you literally had to sit on a boat for 30 Real-time minutes going from land to land) but I have no problem with just running wherever I go.

I get a vast % of the coin just from the Hearts.

I will try and see it from your point of view, but I doubt we'll be able to fit both our heads up there.

But are you really saving money?
What if it takes 20 min to run across the 3 zones vs instant travel and spending 3 min farming mobs to make up the cost of the travel.

You are doing it wrong. You are supposed to kill mobs ON THE WAY to where you are going, and sell the loot.

On a related note, I wonder how long it will take Arenanet to figure out that teleporting fees should be removed because they don't do anything for the game.
