I'm a bit baffled by this move also. It goes against the original design philosophy.
Many of the mystic forge exotics are already difficult to obtain. If these Ascended gear are even better than exotics, then how do they fit in?
Are they going to be even harder to obtain than the mystic forge exotics? What would be the point of getting the mystic forge exotics now, instead of just buying something from the TP, and grinding for Ascended gear.
What? You mean the full exotic set I got from grinding 4 hours of Citadel of Flame is now worthless? Nooooooooooooooo! --- From: CJayC | Posted: 6/3/2003 GameFAQs isn't going to be merged in with GameSpot or any other site. We're not going to strip out the soul of the site.
Depends on how it's done. I didn't have any issues with getting exotic statted gear because of how many different methods I had available to me to get them with the stat combination I wanted, and from there, I just grabbed whatever aesthetic piece I wanted to transmute over it.
LOLSAUCE at these poor scrubs, "OMG treadmill, this game is bad now, and anyone who says otherwise is a drone or fan-boy."
Please, do us a favor and go fall down a well.
For those of you trying to use the gaming definition of "treadmill" please for the love of gaming realize what you are saying. Do you need to run the same instances over and over to get better and better gear just to do the next highest set of dungeons?
"This game has too few armor sets! Nothing to do!" "WHY ARE THEY ADDING ANOTHER ARMOR SET?!"
Oh my gawd, make up your minds!
It's not that they are adding more armor, it's they are adding a new tier that's better than exotics. Especially when they touted the skin only aspect of gear. I personally don't care too much. --- GT/PSN: SilverBasher
