Legendary and transmute

i just got my legendary and does transmuting it make it not a legendary? i dont want pwr/tou/vit for my dagger. does transmuting make it exotic still or did they fix it?

If it's like the normal transmutes, the rarity of the item depends on the stats transmuted onto the item (the second box).

If the skin is yellow but the stats is taken from a blue item, the final product is still blue.

I feel insanely bad for the poor soul who went ahead and tested that process, only to end up with an exotic.

Well, at least it's an exotic with the Legendary skin, right? Technically, that's all they're there for. Well, other than the minor stat boost.

nope, not good.
It may seem good now, but when anet decides to release ascended weapons legendary weapons will get the upgraded status. An exotic with legendary skin would not get upgraded...... unless anet fixes it somehow.
