Final Fantasy IV

I've read here that it increases the Attack stat by 99 if maxed (already got it to 20 something).
When I equip it on Cecil, his Attack stat remains the same. Is it invisible or I'm just missing something? Someone enlighten me, please. Thanks. :)

I'm playing the iOS version, by the way. But I asked here since this board seems more active.

Not sure how different the iOS version is, but on the DS there is a help window on the bottom screen that shows information like enemy HP, weak/resist, what weapon you have equipped, it's ATK and accuracy.

When I am selecting the target for ???'s Love it displays Cecil's ATK as (Base)+(99).
So my guess is ???'s Love adds the bonus when attacking, not while it is equipped.

Oh so it only activates the bonus when I use the ???'s Love command in battle?
After using it, my next attacks will have the attack bonus? Did i get that right?
If so, will any other attacks like the normal Attack command and offensive spells such as Ultima via Twincast will also get the boost?

?????'s Love is literally just "Attack" with bonus damage based on how much you've used Cover (in the iOS version). It doesn't add up or apply to other moves. Just for the ability itself, it gains the increased Attack, and nothing else.

I see now. I guess I just kind of got confused with your Near-Stat-Maxing guide (which I've been following, btw), I thought ????'s Love will also increase Ultima's damage. I missed the part where aside from Ultima getting the most out of Limit Break, ????'s Love will also utilize the Limit Break.
