I just found out about this game and am psyched to play! I loved vanilla xii and hated xiii, so this should scratch that ff itch! I want to be sure I'm not setting myself up for disaster, though. I'm scared of doubling esper needs or something. Anyway...
Balthier has somewhat prolonged animation with most range weapons and while it's not that significant (0.2 sec IIRC) but still an issue.
You can fix it by switching Basch with Balthier(Basch is the best char for Archer job) or by switching Vaan with Balthier(Vaan is the second best Archer) or you can leave it as it is, it's not like you won't be able to defeat any foe for that matter
in any case - your party is far from disaster, so no worries
That Knight is in a bit of a weird spot, White Mage makes the Knight's White Magic redundant - not that doubling up on healing is necessarily a bad thing, mind you, but ... eh - and Samurai is already a great melee Job who can (should) equip Genji Gear.
The big thing (heh, pun) Knight has over Samurai would be Excalibur, however, if a Holy-elemental is the biggest draw, I'd rather pick Uhlan as Holy Lance is only slightly less awesome and I'd say the added utility of Item Lores and being able to hit flyers is something that team could put to good use.
And yes, Archer Balthier is something you might want to change - I love Archer Basch, see the intro. (It's actually Vaan who's the best Archer / Hunter thanks to often-equal STR to and always-better SPD than Basch but Vaan wastes his good magic stats as one while Basch's lowest SPD / VIT really appreciate Jackboots.)

. Would it cause trouble if I swap hunter for knight?
Yes. You will hurt Knight's feelings x_;
Seriously though, with WM around Hunter will be much more useful IMO. I'd even go further and get Uhlan for some nice(and fast) Holy Damage at the late game, but I don't want to overdo in convincing department...we have Zeku for this xD
Ah but remember Archer + Monk + Hunter = three Light Armor wearers, leaving quite slim pickings for end-game equipment; though, that may be less an issue with only one or two characters active at a time. This could possibly be another benefit of using Uhlan instead of Hunter (instead of Knight).
