cryodine411DAGPosted 1/21/2009 9:26:49 PM | There's this seriously tough time trial called "Time's a Tickin". I got it with about 60 percent or so of the career done. I'm not sure what the car is called but I believe it was a tuner w/ a maroon and black paint design on it and it is seriously slow with limited time for the trial. I tried doing it like 10 times and still no victory. Can anyone help me out here. Much thanks. |
vettefreakPosted 1/21/2009 9:41:55 PM | just download the save...
i beat the game, got bored of it , so i decided to download some game saves to see how other people customize there cars.
the save with the R8 is weird cuz all of his cars were some stupid, ugly orange color... :P --- I love Jill Valentine!!! |
cryodine411DAG(Topic Creator)Posted 1/21/2009 9:52:07 PM | The thing is that they forced me to drive a seriously slow car and if I had like 15 extra seconds then I can probably do this one. Why did somebody have to beat my time again, I'm not so sure. |
MrBlockHeadPosted 1/21/2009 10:40:39 PM | Probably too late but for future time trials you should sand bag the races meaning drive as fast as you can to the finish and then stop before the final checkpoint and wait until about 5 seconds are left then burnout and floor it. --- GAMERTAG:XRz Stingray |
KubmirPosted 1/22/2009 1:09:58 PM | If the game called and told you someone beat your time, it means that the time is just barely better than what you got before... so you just have to improve (slightly) on your previous best time. At its definitely possible in the car the game gives you, you don't need another car.
Just race clean and try to take turns without losing tire traction. Practice a lot, that's what Time Trials are all about. Do you know about Burnout starts? If not, hold handbrake and gas from a dead stop, then let go of the handbrake... that will give you a boost from the start. Use nitrous as soon as you hit 3rd or 4th gear if you're on a straight away... that will get you up to top speed faster, which will improve your time more than using nitrous at top speed.
If you get frustrated and don't want to do it, then don't do it... all you're gonna lose is the chance to win that car that you don't seem to like anyway. |

Baraka32Posted 1/22/2009 5:22:04 PM | No more talk, just do it! Haha
Seriously though, I didn't slow down for the first couple and the natural progression of my driving made me a lot better at these. Like after you drive the Saleen clean, driving 150 mph in an Eclipse is easy |
cryodine411DAG(Topic Creator)Posted 1/25/2009 12:13:59 PM | Very sorry about too many posts, but my internet connection is really lousy and I get messages about my post not properly stored, so I thought sending it again would fix this problem. I finally accomplished the trial a few days ago, so thanks to everyone for the tips. |
