Hm. If you are new to RTS in general, there isn't really a good race for anything. If you aren't, and lets say you played Warcraft, i think Protoss would be best... they are a lot more micro intensive which you needed in Warcraft, so that should transfer over well..
Zerg is actually a fairly hard beginner race, because 1) You don't know effective build orders for either rushing or macroing, 2) I still can't remember to spawn Larva everytime my Queen has energy.. it's kinda sad..
Terran is the other race that you could probably start off with pretty easy. If you've watched any of the replays at all, you know that just going Marines, Maurders and Medivacs will pretty much win you most games. it's just the macroing of all those units and remembering to upgrade.. --- http://i37.tinypic.com/rje8zl.jpg
definitely not zerg, they're probably the hardest to start with and they're the most different of the three. I go terran, they're really versatile. --- "Where's its #%$*#&$ head?" - Barret, FF7 GT: EchoKnight
Terran. Just spam marines, marauders, and medivacs and you should be good for most games.
Zerg and protoss both require more dynamic teching and countering, as well as higher APM (individual protoss units often have extra abilities to use and Zerg will usually have more bases, requiring more larva and unit management. --- Xbox Live GT- Stryker58 (NOT stryker5858)
