Just wondering. Would seem a shame to kill off the character after so much.

I highly doubt it will, since there's just as many options that don't involve killing him, and he's a trademark of the series. Although I'm not sure how you move on if you're a tree.

I don't think it will matter to be honest. He's a tree so no matter what we won't see him in the next fallout.
Since love and fear can hardly exist together, If we must choose between them, It is safer to be feared then loved.

fallout new vegas doesn't have to take place after fallout 3 does it? what if it's in between 2 and 3 so we can see harold on his way to the capital wasteland?

It wont be canon, it will be cannon. As in Tesla Cannon, which is what I'm going to try shooting him with.

Hm. How can a game where the player makes all their choices on there own be canon? You don't have to kill Harold.

Tesla Cannon is good, but I think the Heavy Incinerator would also suffice.
