Is the glitch with Sergeant RL-3 going to be fixed? Possible Spoilers

I was caught by the enclave after getting the GECK while having RL-3 following me. After I escaped I went to go get him and he wasn't there. I waited a few days and he appeared but he was hostile. I reloaded a few more times and every time I wait he is either dead or appears hostile. Has Bethesda said anything about fixing this in an update or with the DLC?

Well he could've died on his way back. As for being hostile I have no idea. Do you still have neutral karma?

Neutral karma no longer matters once you get him.

Yes I still had neutral karma. He didn't die on the way back because he gets to Canterberry Commons fine then turns hostile out of the blue.

If you kill Joe he becomes hostile.

I didn't kill Joe but I also couldn't find him after I got out. That might explain it.

I reloaded an earlier save to figure out what was wrong. It might just be something weird with RL-3 because I traveled to RobCo Facility and Joe was alive. I fired RL-3 to make sure he went the Commons and as soon as I fired him he turned hostile. I don't think Joe is the problem.

After playing The Pitt I went back to Canterbury Commons to get him and he was hostile to all. He says I am unfit for command but I'm still neutral alignment. I figure this is the same type of glitch.

The problem with RL-3 as a companion is that you pretty much can't do any quests with him. The second you turn either evil or good with HIM STILL in the party, he'll turn hostile and you can kiss his funny quips goodbye for the remainder of the game.

Bethesda really needs to patch him so you he'll only leave when you change alignments. Not turn hostile permanently.
