I got the Abt Audi TT-R Touring Car '02 as a random free car; I dont remember if it wasnumber of miles, cars in garage, or completed expert series, though. I put some racing softs, and it absolutely blew the competition away in that event; no skill required.

You create a new account and set the birthdate of the account as the current date.
Then you log into GT5 and receive a Birthday Ticket.
You redeem it and see what you got. It may take several tries to get the car you may be looking for. If the car isn't what you want, you delete your save data and try again.
When you get the one you want, you gift it to your main account.
Or you could go to the trading board and ask nicely for a DTM and see if anyone will trade (make sure you only trade with honest people.) --- GT5: http://www.ukresistance.co.uk/pics7/gran_turismo_5.jpg
The first german touring car that passed in the used dealership for me when I had to do this event was the BMW M3 GTR race car. modded it (you can increase the engine output) and changed the oil ( around 660 BHP total after all that). put on racing softs and no other car in the field could touch me. --- Favourite John Marston quote: You'll be the first to know when I kill you.
