X2011 tuning and settings...?

I'm wondering if you can set the gear ratios and downforce on the X2011? I haven't see anything on it and I keep reading the same top speed (roughly 478kmh.) So I'm wondering if people didn't set the gear ratios and lowered the downforce on them. Anyone mind giving me some insight here?

Like you need any extra help dude ;)

Also, you can set the d/f and gear ratios, max top speed (using the top speed slider) without draft and std d/f is 301mph which i tested on la sarthe earlier.

Well, I'd like to see what it'd do at Spa =3

Otherwise was yours fully broken in? Otherwise now I'm quite excited to see what the new one will do.

Quicker in your hands than mine!

That run on spa was it's second outing (after the max speed run on la sarthe) so it's not broken in at all. To me it seems much easier to drive than the 2010, though not necessarily faster (apart from top end speed). Both me and my mate(other guy in the lobby) reckon it will ultimatley be much quicker around a circuit in the right hands.....

I bet, just did a test with mine (That one I lapped Spa with.) It'd do about 295mph with default downforce settings (63F/87R.) So, you're not only going faster then me, but you're going faster then me with less horsepower (I believe they start out at 1531HP or so?) I'm quite excited to see what it'll do around these tracks now.

Yep, pretty much spot on mate, I'm offline now so can't check to be exact. But I'm pretty sure the stock spec is the same as the 2010 weight and power wise. The new one having a smaller head on foot print means it's quicker in both accel and top speed, but it does seem to me that it handles somewhat better, particularly with higher d/f settings too.

Yeah, however I got to thinking. What if the X2011's default downforce settings are higher? Then I also wondered if you've changed the oil (Since that'll raise it to over the X2010's max HP.) I'm wondering if those small changes to the body will make a real difference within GT5's physics. Regardless, that extra 80HP will allow it to go a hell of alot faster then before. I'm predicting somewhere in the 1:08s for Spa.

I had changed the oil, can't remember stock front d/f but rear was 90, so it can't be far off overall. I think sub 1.10 is definitely on for high level drivers (which you obviously are!).

Personally, I think there's more time there. I'd just need a nice long practice session to find all of that time. Otherwise, I think that time is most likely the fastest anyone has gone around Spa to date (In a X2010, not that X2011.) Otherwise it's a bit odd that the X2011 has a slightly higher default downforce rating... I'm starting to think that the X2011 isn't really more aerodynamic then the X2010 (In game at least) and it gets it's extra speed from all of those extra horsepowers.

It wouldn't surprise me if it so far...........Give it a week mate and you'll have a chance to find out :) I'll likely be on again tomorrow for a sesh if you fancy it....
