Does the A.I. fight against each other in single player?

Does the A.I. fight against each other in single player in this game?

Or is it more like the older Civ CPU games where it rarely fought against each other and almost only against you.

Sometimes they fight each other if they meet in your terittory. I dont think they ever take over each others cities

Bummer... they don't fight to beat each other, but do so to kill you then, sounds like.
So it sounds like the A.I. aggressiveness is basically against you, and the games are all about you versus all the of the A.I. .... reminds me a lot of Civ 3 on the computer.
