Kids these days and thinking a 7 = terrible game that sucks completely. It's pathetic how many people think anything below an 8.5 means it's a terrible game not worth a play.

Heh, it's funny, some years ago a friend of mine and me came to the conclusion that games graded 7 were usually more fun to play than games which got higher marks.

I am 35. I have been around the gaming scene for a while now. I have a collection of old gaming magazines that I like to look back on from time to time in a case like this.

Back in the early 90s most of the excellent games were scoring 7 or 8 out of 10.

EXCELLENT GAMES.

To score anything higher a game had to take you out, buy you a steak and lobster dinner, and then make out with you afterward.

Now, if a game doesn't score a perfect 10 and have reviewers dropping their pants to praise it, people don't want anything to do with it.

I loved the demo. I am buying this game. Why? I make up my own mind. I am a gamer and my opinion matters more than some guy who gets paid to play games.

I want to see the reviewers resume. What does he play? Gears of War? Halo? Has he ever stopped to play anything because he LIKED it? Or does he only play the crap that pays for advertising?

Bah! Idiots.
