such an awesome game...question on weapon leveling

first off, I LOVE this game. awesome art direction and art style.
Ahem, anyway...


weapon leveling...does a weapon only gain EXP if it KILLS* an enemy, or if it is involved in a combo.

My memory is a bit hazy, but from what I can remember......

Killing enemies at higher combo levels yield higher EXP values. So if you can, try to continue your combos going while killing to level up your weapons faster. I found spiders in the one dungeon that has a ton of spider webs to be a rather good spot for this.
