I really don't understand what the problem is, but I guess I'm one of the very small percentage that's able to adjust to a game without a problem. The funny thing is I sometimes don't like the camera to be converted for some games (I had to switch it in Warhawk) and other games I just don't notice it one way or another.

They can't patch this game, there is no HDD installed file to take the patch.

I don't have a problem with the camera, but i wouldn't mind having one of those Fatal Frame cameras in SHH. : )

Sure they can. Uncharted had no HDD install, but the trophy patch put a small file on the HDD.

The HDD is not obvious or forced in all PS3 games, it can be in the game options and go un noticed.

For those who are frustrated, you are not alone...

To whom it may concern:

As a long–time Konami fan (from Contra to MGS to Silent Hill), as of SHH, I'm deeply disappointed. Not because of the story, graphics, or any other significant reason, but because of the lack of one, small UI consideration: invert-Y functionality. The fact is, at least in the US, many, many of us have learned to play games exclusively in this manner. And now, to omit it as an option, you've literally made what is otherwise a great game, virtually unplayable. It's like forcing a right-handed person to use their left hand. No thanks, I'd rather spend my time doing anything else. As a specialist with UI design experience in the game industry, I implore you to 1) rectify the game with a patch if at all possible; and 2) reconsider such a move for any future games. Otherwise I, and a virtually endless stream of similarly disenfranchised gamers will inevitably find ourselves leaving the Konami camp.

I think the camera is ok, I had no problems to get used to it. Just think "I want to see up I push up" :)
But if they give the option to invert it it's good too.
