Me and my friend both bought the game and want to play multiplayer online so we can do co-op but every time we try to connect to each other it says "Could not connect to host" after 15 second before timeout thing. We both forwarded the correct ports using http://www.portforward.com/ but that hasn't helped. I think it is on his end because he cannot connect to anyone and I can connect the other people online
Any suggestions? --- XBL Gamertag: t0Mm4y

1. Trash the 360. 2. Forward your ports correctly. 3. Buy a legal copy of the game.

1. We aren't playing on a 360.... 2. I have. 3. We have legal copies. --- XBL Gamertag: t0Mm4y

Demilitarize your connections, then. --- [This message was deleted at the request of an incompetent jackass]

I have this same problem I am not even on a router; I am connected directly into a modem and I still can't connect most times.

do you have a software firewall on your PC? --- ^ ^ v v < > < > B A, Select, Start

Borderlands has known issues with online and LAN play mate. Download something called GameRanger. One of you create the room and the other join in GameRanger, and it will do all the setup for you. The host still needs to have either ports forwarded or DMZ mode though, but that's pretty easy. There's guides at http://portforward.com/ Good luck, --- PSN/XBL gothicasuwung. chrisat928: a remake of VIII would make me run outside naked, doing cartwheels down the street.
Thanks Nocturne, I'll give GameRanger a try. I also might tell him to turn Windows FIrewall off because mine is off and that could also be the problem. --- XBL Gamertag: t0Mm4y

No problem. And yeah, try it without the firewall enabled. And again, good luck. --- PSN/XBL gothicasuwung. chrisat928: a remake of VIII would make me run outside naked, doing cartwheels down the street.

I got him to turn off his firewall but we still cannot connect. Then we both got GameRanger and when I host he joins and I press start and it goes to the little rectangle saying Borderlands but then it says I aborted the game which I didn't. When he hosts I join and it starts up good but then it just stays at the menu screen.
