709zzyPosted 12/3/2012 12:18:38 PM | I have seen people bragging about their 1000 hours+ save files for freedom unite. So how did you guys manage to play so much? Was it to progress more into the game or was it more of a multi-player thing (like helping your friend and stuff but not really progressing much yourself)? |
NykzaPosted 12/3/2012 12:36:45 PM | All solo for me. I just really like this game and enjoy becoming a better hunter. --- http://i.imgur.com/w2Ni4.jpg |
Sliver_Fata_ZPosted 12/3/2012 12:53:32 PM | Multi-player for me, l've helped atleast a hundred people reach HR9, aswell as farming weapons and armor for them.
llRC l have around 700 hours of solo play, and 1000+ of multi-player, on my main guy. |
AoENIACPosted 12/3/2012 1:26:03 PM | This is going to sound really try-hard and lame but I seriously love the actual battles in the Monster Hunter series! I love learning the inns and outs of every monster, and then having to re-learn them for the same monster when switching to the next game because so much has changed from hitboxes to attacks and behavior frequency or triggers. I love that feeling when a hunt comes together and you get all your timing down gracefully. I also love it when a hunt falls apart, you overestimated, you made an input error, you forgot a pattern, you brought the wrong equipment, you overlooked the environment, maybe your friend is dying, you're getting desperate, and then quest complete (or failure). Wipe that sweat off your brow!
I just feel rewarded fighting the monsters. So it keeps me hunting even after I don't need anything from a monster anymore. Switching games every once in a while also keeps things fresh. And yes, there is a definite aspect to helping friends with their hunts too. --- Is there something about the way I type that makes it sound angry? Maybe it's just something about the way you read. |
emolsifierPosted 12/3/2012 3:02:14 PM | I can see myself playing 1000 hours of MH.
It took 100 hours to get my footing. Heck I found out at 80 hours hat I could have my cats COOK! the next 50 was spent fulfilling elder dragon missions and getting to HR 2. I haven't even done HR 7-G or the second set of village quests by the frickin' cat. I don't expect to finish this game for the next few YEARS. I'm not even going to buy the 3ds MH until I finish this one. --- Newbie PKMN Trainer: 0132-8070-8825 BLACK |

Giga_GokuPosted 12/6/2012 5:48:42 PM | Love this damn game to death. Though now that I think about it, I hung up my Monster Hunter career a while ago... might be time to come out of retirement and waste some fatties :P --- Currently playing "Monster Hunter Freedom Unite" (Baklavah, HR9) (check quote for hunter data!) |
