I went to the checkpoint, exited my game, came back and I had to start from the beginning :(

Right. It tells you that when you activate it. It only applies to that game session.

Blood Money was the same way. Saving only saved for that session. If you exited and came back, you had to do the level from scratch.

That sucks. Not everyone can sit down for an hour at a time :(

If it takes you an hour to through a mission segment, you are doing something way wrong.


But I agree, it is inconvenient, and for no apparently good reason.

I noticed this annoying thing...very first mission, very first checkpoint...apparently reloading a checkpoint respawns guards?? thats kinda pointless..is it a bug or is this intended? cuz if its intended I can't imagine why
