I've read that I'm supposed to capture them with capture quests, but according to the wiki, there are no Capture the Rathalos or Gobul or Barrioth quests in the Offline Mode and I'm quite sure I have them done online.
So naturally, I figure that these multi-monster arena challenges unlock differently.

In hunting quests you can still capture the monster and it'll complete the quest.

I've done that too.
But nice random speculation there.

Maybe you have to beat the arena quests before them?
I don't know, I'm just throwing ideas out there. --- PSN: The Wheelchair MH3 Hunter Name: Eccard

Oh and for anyone wondering, you have to specifically do the capture quests for Rathian and Lagiacrus to unlock them in the offline arena. Capturing them in a hunting quest won't do the trick.
Just in case anyone falls prey to the misinformation spewing out of OmegaReaper21.

Maybe try capturing them by just going to Mogi Forest for resource points. --- "Yipeee!"--Mistral"Get serious, Mistral!"--Sanjuro

I've done that too. No dice :(

In another thread, I've read that it doesn't work. I haven't personally tried it, but I'm not hopeful.

Have you done like Setsuzoku said. I know in MHFU you have to beat monsters in the Solo "arena" missions at the School to unlock some of them. --- "Yipeee!"--Mistral"Get serious, Mistral!"--Sanjuro
You know what, I was being stupid. I didn't actually finish all of the arena challenges because I didn't unlock the Uragaan one. I just finished all the other ones and I forgot about the fact that I didn't finish or even unlock Uragaan's arena yet. So I'll go ahead and do that now and it'll probably solve my problem.
But if anyone has a definite answer, feel free to contribute. It'll be greatly appreciated.
