Use the classic. There's a small contingent on here that try to promote the nunchuk. Ignore them.

I can't imagine even trying to play with the wiimote/nunchuck... Classic controller pro is way more comfortable.

I prefer the Classic Controller Pro and since my personal preference trumps everyone else's, your choice should be obvious. --- MH3 - Piers

Wiimote with Nunchuck for life!
I tried using CCPro, but I kept hitting the right trigger for evasion >.> I'm too used to Wiimote. Mastering camera controls while attacking at the same time with one hand is a little difficult at first due to the location of the D-Pad, but it's not too hard to get the hang of.
A quirk I hate about the Wiimote, though, is that Lance counter can be a pain sometimes. You have to hold the Wiimote up and click A, and if you're off a little, you'll use the stupid sweep attack and get hit by whatever you were trying to counter. You can't simply upstab while guarding, which I don't like.

I use the remote and nunchuck mainly because I didn't have a classic controller at the time. I got so used to it that when I tried to switch, I double carted against a freaking great jaggi. While wearing over forged armor. --- My weapon of choice? Automatic crossbow that shoots flaming explosive bolts that send people flying 142.5 feet. Except I have two, and unlimited ammo.

IIts not that hard to use the wiimote, only thing is having to twist it or make it point upwards to make some attack but I never bothered me.

I use wiimote and nunchuk despite having the CCPro bundle version of the game, but I really only hammer so the controls are simple. Why nunchuk? I have cats, and the wiimote-nunchuk setup allows me to scratch their heads when they sit on my lap, while I watch myself get carted back to base camp. --- UlNin - HR 50 - QB95RE on NA Server
